Abstract

The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) is a national association organization engaged in social humanity. In meeting the need for blood, PMI created a special unit, namely the Blood Donor Unit or abbreviated as UDD. UDD PMI Semarang City has a program called Car Unit. The Mobile Unit is a blood donation activity that will be carried out if there is a request from a group/agency that proposes cooperation with UDD PMI Semarang City. Currently, to get information on the location of the blood donor activity carried out by PMI Semarang City, donors can view it via social media, but the information disseminated only contains addresses, and donors do not know which location is closest to their location. In addition, based on the results of interviews with PMI, groups/agencies that have not collaborated with PMI when submitting requests for blood donation activities must come to PMI Semarang City. So, to answer this problem the Geographic Mapping Application of the Blood Donor Unit Car is deemed necessary as a navigational information medium for blood donor locations around the city of Semarang. With the prototype system development method and built using Leaflet JS, which is a java script library that is useful for building web-based interactive maps using the Location Based Service (LBS) method, this system functions to manage car unit activities and find the location of the car unit closest to potential blood donors where produces a percentage of test results 92% of users are helped. It is hoped that this system can be accessed by the entire community and accepted by the PMI Semarang Constitution as a means of navigating potential blood donors.
