DESIGN OF A BEARING HEATER BASED ON ELECTROMAGNETIC INDUCTION
Main Article Content
Abstract
Maintenance and repair of bearings in heavy equipment are crucial to ensure machine reliability and prevent premature failure. Improper installation can cause downtime, higher costs, and potential component damage. This study aims to design and develop an electromagnetic induction-based bearing heater that is efficient, economical, and safe to operate. The research method includes literature review, mechanical and electrical design, and performance testing. The results show that the heater can evenly heat bearings above 120°C in a relatively short time with energy consumption of about 0.074 kWh. The tool accelerates repair processes, reduces the risk of forced-installation damage, and improves maintenance efficiency. With its portable design and automatic temperature control system, the bearing heater provides a practical and reliable solution for the heavy equipment industry.
