Journal History

The Indonesian Journal of Applied Accounting and Finance (ISSN: 2828-8572) was established in 2021 as a scholarly platform dedicated to advancing knowledge and practice in the fields of applied accounting and finance. Since its inaugural publication (Volume 1 Number 1), the journal has consistently published eight high-quality articles per issue, reflecting its commitment to academic rigor and relevance.

As part of its continuous quality improvement and growing academic reputation, the journal achieved national accreditation at the SINTA 4 level starting from Volume 3 Number 1 (2023) until Volume 7 Number 2 (2027), based on the Decree of the Director General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) No. 156/C/C3/KPT/2026. This milestone marks a significant step forward in strengthening the journal’s credibility and visibility within the Indonesian academic landscape.

Responding to increasing scholarly interest and submission rates, the journal expanded its publication capacity beginning with Volume 4 Number 1 (2024), increasing the number of published articles from eight to twelve per issue. This development underscores the journal’s role as an inclusive and dynamic forum for researchers, academics, and practitioners.

In line with international publishing standards and best practices, starting from Volume 6 Number 1 (2026), the journal adopts a continuous pagination system to enhance citation consistency and layout efficiency. Prior to this, since its establishment in 2021, the journal applied a recto-start pagination format.

With a strong foundation and a forward-looking vision, the Indonesian Journal of Applied Accounting and Finance continues to strive for higher academic impact, broader dissemination, and greater contribution to the advancement of accounting and finance scholarship.
